America Ground - The Musical

an allegory about a revolution that never happened

but could happen yet!

Between 1820 and 1840 a series of storms, land grabs and mass insurrection made Hastings a hot bed of subversion and revolution. The populace looked to the Americas for an answer to their problems of fair rent, freedom to live as free men and land to build on. Smuggling, murder and industrial strife spread across from Kent and Captain Swing stalked the land. Men made and lost fortunes, homes and lives, the gallows cast a shadow over the land and lives of anyone who stood against the criminal class.

The show premiered and sold out in Hastings June 2024 and we are now looking for producing venues, co-producers and backers to take the show to the next stage
